“My lease is ending soon. What are my options?”


With your lease coming to an end, you have 3 options:

A) Turn in your leased vehicle and Lease/Finance a new one

B) Buy your leased vehicle

C) Turn in your vehicle

You will find on this page, options and information about your ending lease.

A) Turn-in your leased vehicle and lease/purchase a new one:

  1. Make an appointment with your Sales Representative at MacDonald Buick GMC Cadillac to discuss options and incentives for your next vehicle.
  2. Select your next vehicle and discuss which financing options are best for you
  3. We can help you explore your trade-in options in detail and determine if you have any equity in your vehicle. This will also be a good time to discuss your vehicle’s condition and whether it will be to your advantage to exchange your vehicle as a trade in. This can be a good option if your vehicle is in an equity position or if you are facing excess mileage or wear and tear charges.
  4. Turn in your vehicle or structure your new financing to use your current vehicle as a trade in.

B) Buy your leased vehicle:

It is possible to purchase your leased GM vehicle at any time during the lease period.

  1. Contact MacDonald Buick GMC Cadillac to discuss financing options. We can get in touch with your current lender to determine your purchase option price.
  2. Follow the instructions provided to complete your purchase.

C) Turn in your vehicle:

Return the vehicle to the dealership where you leased it.  Remember to bring your owner’s manual, extra set of keys and any other accessories that came with the vehicle.

  1. Take some time to review your vehicle’s condition.
  2. A complimentary vehicle inspection will be arranged and performed by a GM Financial authorized inspection company.
  3. Make an appointment to turn in the vehicle at your originating Buick, GMC, or Cadillac dealership.
  4. Consider purchasing or leasing a new Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicle from MacDonald Buick GMC Cadillac Ltd.
